If an oncoming vehicle blinks his headlights in rapid succession:
He wants to go first,so you should wait!

Do you switch on your indicator,not just for making a turns,but even for
changing lanes?

You should use your horn sparingly.Learn to use your headlights to indicate,
if you want to overtake.since blaring horns can distract other drivers.

So how do you teach other drivers regarding this.Having a license does not
credit you with knowledge as how to drive.

It is not that "Speed Kills",but other drivers ignorance,causes these kills.
Either teach 'em,else start driving slowly,so you can react for any scenario :)

On a lighter note:Did you know,that you could be fined for spilling water on the
road(202 M.M.V.R 177 M .V. A ).That is news to me!!

Near Death experience

As I write this log,I am suffering from pain on both my hands,my right leg and left back .it is completely chafed.If I had not worn my helmet,may be some one else would have been writing my eulogy now.There is only one chip on the helmet and if my bare head would have been there,it would have been a catastrophe for me.

I thank God for giving me a life to live again.This is a second by second description of my encounter ( understanding the close texture of the asphalt) with out hype.I was riding my bike behind a lorry in the GST road near chrompet.out of no f*** place comes this auto between me and the lorry.This guy was trying to cross the road from the opposite lane.Trying to avoid him,I moved left,but to no avail,that guy also moved fast and bang hit the front of the auto from his left.I slid along with my bike and was thrown like 18 to 20 meters with my bike from the point of collision.

The next thing I knew was,I was standing up and shouting at the guy as to,where the heck did he come from?

The the real pain hit me,when most of them came and looked my helmet and said,that I should have been a goner.They did not expect me to wake up from the road after a collision like that.The Helmet saved my head.

After all the argument,nothing panned out,anyway I was in pain,just parked my bike on the side of the road,took an auto and reached home.

Damages on both side:

Auto: A dent on the left side.
Broken headlight.

Would you believe,it he was asking for me to pay up for the headlight.
He should be happy that I did not press charges...

My Bike:

My leg guard is pasted to the engine on the right and left side is
looking towards the right
The rear brake came lose from its fixure and is completely twisted as
heap of rubber.
My side mirrors are not there.
The leg rests on both sides are like below the bike
Ofcourse one or two indicators dunnot for sure are missing.
Handlebar looks like it went to a rave party.
The chasis to hold the leg rest is broken into two on impact,you could
see the actual place of stress.
other cosmetics damages are again in this huge list.

I think,once the mechanic has a look at it,I would know,the price that I would have to shell out.Have to check with insurance company,if they would cover this without a FIR.

I think ,this is a small price that I have to pay for being a speedster.But I have not yet started to enjoy life.... :(

U could be wondering,then why am I writing this now,shouldn't I be in bed.Yeah,even my mom is saying that,but I have kill time and do something that help me to forget the pain.This does......

Anyway my advice to you,wear a helmet,it might not save your bike,but it would save your life!!Even though I did maneuver my bike correctly to avoid the collision,it was just not enough,else I would be writing about some other topic.

The only fact that haunts me now his:What would have happened,if I did not wear an helmet? It sends shiver down my spine,even to think about that.

Remembering My School

For no damn reason,today I am in reminiscence about my school days.Well this were my thoughts.I always used to fail like minimum two subjects for any given term.If you view my Report card,it would be easy to find failed subjects rather than the other.

Marked in Red underscores,my parents would have been really mad,that I did not study at all.Well to be frank,I really did not study,did not have a reason,to study also.A big bummer though.Must have been the class Bum.

Then the thoughts rumble towards my crushes,there were a lot.I think I was having crushes like morning coffee,some were intimidating though.But did not take a decision towards any relationship with any one of em,cos knew it was a complete waste of my time.Man did I have realization even at that age....

Nothin else came up from the memory archives.just failed subjects and crushes.Should I remember any thing else.People always say,the your school days are the hey days...But for me ,it was the college,cos for me the reason in college was pretty simple,don't worry about marks,but lay the foundation for your future.I did!!(learned how to think....)

I do not have any regrets,so I assume,that it must have been gud!! :)

I also remember the crush that I had in LKG .Do you believe that,I cud remember that.But also,I do remember the face of my teacher,who used to crack my knuckles for talking or playing pranks on others during class in LKG.

It has been fun,but life ain't like that forever,so need to hang on to the thread of determination and hard work ,to make my mark in the world and have fun at the same time.

EriDay - Events as it unfolds

Just now came back from attending the Eriday...It was a blast ,may be not the entire occasion.We(as in me and my fnds...) reached the venue as usual late( just an hour late),it was planned though.We did not like much of the events organized for us,so we took a short hike to the beach enjoyed the fresh salty air

Two of my fnds even took a skinny dip,just for the fun of it.After wards,we reached the venue,to join the rest,by then the cultural events started....

The real fun began,once the BAR opened.I had like a can of beer,or a cup of wine (dunno for sure ),stood in the front line cheering the Ericsson community.man was it exhilarating?

After that booze,food,then booze gain,dunno remember as to how long this continued,until,they said,it was over.

Later,we carried our drunk(or claiming to be drunk ) fnd back to the car,drove to his house dumped him,drove another fnd of mine back to his house ,and then reached my house.

Damn Gud time spent,not for the booze,food, but for the time spent with my fnds!!

Marriages....

Two of my cousins are getting married in the month of December.Pretty Cool huh,just days apart,two marriages in the family.Well,one of my cousins came to my home and was asking,when I was gonna get married?Did I have a Girl friend? and stuff like that.

That got me thinkin,as to why the heck do we get married?cos we fall in love?That would be a really lousy reason to lose one's bachelorhood!!We do know opposites attract,but that would be the same,until they have strength,after that the relationship shatters to a staggering stop.We need to be compatible mentally.cos once all the young blood runs out,we need to find something to talk about.Surely it ain't gonna be about cars and bikes.

Some common ground needs to be found.But still we find a lot of marriages heading down the road to divorce!! Why is it?Is it that,they are drained out of their young blood,or it is a marriage made in a fast food stand.People seem to misunderstand the concept of marriage,It is a agreement,which states,"blah blah blah....in time of need and sickness & blah blah blah".

The last line seems to be punch line,that gets deceived everytime a divorce is authorized.

China!!

I have been reading a lot about China,nowadays.The huge blow to its export in toys,due to lead found in the paint used on toys,and the collapse of some of the bridges,killing a lot of the people.

Adding more to that news,is the recent high power curtail on what the media can report!Check out the BBC article on this http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/6992946.stm .It is pretty astounding that all major media players came up with the same headlines,accurate upto the location of the images.

Man oh Man,if this ain't dictatorship,I du not understand what is?Freedom of speech is our right,and it does not matter,on which soil we are born.We take it for granted,but some pay a very high price ,even their life for that right!!

Even the internet,where homeless roam free,are being targetted.They have the firewalls set,up in such a way that any one accessing any of the sites,that offend the chinese party or the government,or even the previous horrific,brutal history,they are blocked.

History is supposed to teach us,as how to live our future.We are not supposed to shy away from our past!! That only leads us,to our denial.

My fnd & Life!!

I would just say,"If only I had thought about this previously!!It would have saved a lot of time for me....".Why does this have to happen to me?These are like some of the questions that I ask myself.

One of my friends has fallen in love...I mean literally head over heels in love with a girl.Pretty cool huh....For me it is really interesting,b cos now I get to monitor his moves and irritate him furthermore,that he has changed after getting a girl friend.

But still he does not seem reponsible??? Any ideas,I always assumed that once you have an obligation,automatically,you would get the responsibility also.But in this case am I Wrong?

I think it would become pretty clear,when he decides to break this to his parents,and I have decided,not to be in the near vicinity for about three months!!

I have to save my hide here!! No offence dude,if you are reading this...

Indian Independence 60 years and moving on......

It has been 60 years,since we had received Independence.What has changed since then? Have the population become tech savy?The majority speak for the country and they are still using Kerosene lamps.Are they reaping the benefits of OutSourcing.The new found gold is not reaching the common masses.

We as the computer engineers are exacerbating the situation with inflation.What the heck are we doing?We are increasing the cost of vegetables,house rent and so on ...the list goes on,bcos we are not bothered about the money,since we get a hike every year,else we would just jump companies.have you ever thought about the Bus drivers,or the people who clean the streets.Their monthly salary is equivalent to or lesser than our one day's B'day treat!!!"ONE DAY"

My Shoe costs more than their monthy family expenditure.

It really brings tears down my eyes to watch people on the street begging.I am talking about the real helpless and needy people.India is shining ,yeah but for them it seems like the heat is being concentrated by a magnifying glass to burn their life out of their bodies,"ANT BULLY".

I am not calling for a revolution here,or I am not asking for you to stop spending.It is our brow's sweat and we have to right to spend it the way we like.All I am asking is,just to think twice before throwing out the money.If all of us start to think before spending,the prices would automatically come down... It may take time,but it is something we could be part of.It does not take a mighty person to do this,all you need to have is a heart.

Closing my eyes does help me to forget all the torture temporarily,but that does not change the facts.What are you going to do to save India from its self made tragic lifestyle?

Song Review:Stranger by Hilary Duff

The music is really good.Hilary Duff has outdone herself again,with her new song "Stranger".The tone has a melancholic tune that I really like.This just shows us ,how she has grown from being a teenager to a responsible adult.

Checked out the video also.No so cool though.I like the Audio,much more than the video.The video does not have the impact that the audio has.

Pretty lame though.The song talks about her boyfriend,whom she has spent a long time with,but later turns out to be a stranger,even though she has lived with him for a long time.She does not really know him... :)

I guess that sums up her song.If you have not listened to it,I suggest you do.

Airport Security!

If you have travelled in a plane post 9/11,you would have been surely frisked in the airports,and bags poked around to check for any liquid stuff that could be dangerous.I do agree with their security measures.It is there to save lives...

We are not allowed to take liquids and semi solid stuff on the airplane,but what about the food or the water that comes through the caterers.Are they scanned.what if some one pays one of these workers to look the other way,while some prick plants a gun,or some liquid flammable stuff that could look like water,but explode at the hands of a extremist.

What kind of measures are taken to avoid this?No one seems to know.A extremist determined to take lives will look for all possible options,so we need to think and be one step ahead of them.It is a hassel for the passengers,but nothing is much more important than security.

But man oh man clearing airport security on the first attempt,is much worse than like clearing a class test :)

Rational Developer Conference 2007

I recently attended the Rational Developer Conference 2007 in Bangalore.Man Oh Man was it a Bang.Truth be told,this is my first conference and it was interesting,especially for the goodies that they gave way :) made me happy to be part of the Conference.Hmmm...Jokes aside,they did talk about a lot of technical stuff,which made my head tizzy.

Rational has lined a lot of new version of all its product with version 7.1.0 to be released in the first quarter in the next year.They products being released are CC,CQ,BuildForge,RAM and a lot of other stuff also.Pretty amazing as what they are doing with Software!!.They explained the case studies as how they use CC in house to main the CC code itself.

They have this new CC Multisite Global Monitoring SW,which is like a God given gift for a CC Multisite administrator.This tools at present allows the administrator to Monitor the sync up,status of the scheduled jobs and every thing that a local admin can do remotely.Moving on to the future,they will be supporting even remote changes,that could make the job really easier for the admin and also reduce the admin task,so that the admins can focus on other really important issues,rather then remote login and try to debug the outputs.

BuildForge,it is really a tool to be used.If you have like 100 builds a day with each build on different platform and each teamlead hanging on your head with a reaper's blade,then BuildForge is the tool for you.It has the dependencies,distributed make and all the other stuff packed to the rim.It makes a real big bang with its introduction....

The Two day conference was a technical hurricane,with a lot of info but very hard digest in the short span of time....

Busted wide open!!

Did you know that Google archives all your web search data.They never delete it from their archives,thanks to their cheap Hard drive storing capability.

They can pinpoint the exact content that you were searching,with your unique MAC id and bust you for anything.Just consider this information in the wrong hands and we are literally screwed.Why would they want to store so much data?

Their answer is that they want understand the requirements of the users and provide better customer solution.Hell yeah they do that,but they are bound by law to provide these informations to the local governments,I do not know,the extent to which they can procrastinate,but still this would be serious breach of privacy violation.Isn't? Why would I want anyone to store my search history and use it for any illegal activity.The most serious of them being,Identity thefts....

My Computer HACKED!!

Have you ever faced a situation,when you PC becomes really sluggish,while accessing the network and you wonder what program was consuming so much CPU.you find that there are hardly two browsers open and the most CPU intensive program that was run,was in my brain trying to figure out,what the heck was happenin with my PC??

Then realization sets in,some one or some thing is accessing my PC :( .I do not know,how to trace the origin as to ,who was doing this but I had the presence of mind to go offline immediately.once I did that my computer just froze for sometime and returned to normalcy.Phew man I am glad that i do not use Internet banking and stuff that involves money,since I am wary person.

Now I had to find out,if the program still remained on my hard drive to intiate the activity again,if I went online.So I ran my antivirus and found some malicious program running on my PC.I did not have a firewall,so it is easy for even a rookie to access my PC.Man am I dumb?

Have to disable all the ports on my PC,else I am in for trouble.

I assumed that my PC was safe to a certain extent,since my IP cannot be seen on the public Network.NAT(Network Address Translation)Check out more info on this site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_address_translation It has to do with exhaustion of IPv4 addresses and security stuff.So unless I initiate the connection ,the hacker would not have been able to access my PC,so I must have accessed some site or a pop up ,for this to happen.

So I am still thinking,how should I go ahead with this.try to setup a firewall on my PC,or find something else....

CSI:Crime Scene Investigation

This is a new thing that I am doing here.Writing columns on the television serials that I watch.Don't fret,it ain't about the any long perrenial series,which cover crying mugshots for about an hour.I watch series like CSI and her sisters CSI:MIAMI & CSI:NY.They are really interesting,cos they make you think.

Have you ever watched Dr.House MD series in AXN?He is one of the most abnoxious person ever,but I like the way he works.He motivates in me the fact,always do the right thing and never ,ever feel sorry for what you have done."It should be that you think through before you act". Implusive actions,face the music at all costs.....

You must be thinkin,that I am not any different from a house wife rambling on what happened on yesterday nite show,with the neighbours.Well you are rite,we all do it.Only the topic varys.


Coming back to the review on the CSI series,well if you have not watched.it's time you watched the serial,to understand how science can be used to catch crooks .heh...

I am thinking that crooks would be watching this more keenly,than other,cos they would wanna avoid leaving clues in the crime scene... ;)

Load off u 'r Mind!!

When I started this blog,my friend said that I was toooo lazy to maintain even this.Truth be told,there are times that I am lazier than a donkey.But it seems that I like writing about abstract topics ,that evoke no meaning,but just occupy plain old space on my brain.It is good way of taking it off my mind,so I can think about other stuff..Phew takes a load of my chest right now!!!

Writing is a good remedy for those who think chaotically,It gives us a chance to show much required attention on important matters at hand,rather than focus on trivial thoughts.Some time I ramble ,so much here,that one my fnds had called me up and asked "Are you okay? cos your writing is like a drunk driving a lorry!!".

One even suggested yoga to get my thoughts in place,Yeah,like that is gonna help me.I don't like things to go slow,it has its up's and downs though!!!.So coming back to the topic in hand does writing help me to take a load of my mind.Yeah it Does!!!

why Blush!!/Weaker Sex??

Why is it that guys,we always blush,when some one teases us,with a girl,whom we like.It does not have to be like "like like" but just like the girl.Even if they are valid friends.Does it have to do something with our Hormones,or our abstract heart,that seems to be the centre of attraction here.

Do the girls feel the same way? May be /May be not.We always hear that girls are more mature than guys of the same age.That is why we have the Indian custom of always marrying to younger girls,so the marraige could be Harmonious( no content overflow,Yeah rite!!).

Coming back to the point again,do girls feel the sameway,or is it that they do not show their feelings outwardly and we guys tend to be open hearted.They surely do not suppress their feelings.They are the first to burst out in tears after watching a emotional scene.


We say that women are the weaker sex,and yet still we cannot tell a lie and get away with it from them.A man be the boss of a billion dollar company,but is a servant before his wife.That is true to the bare bones...Wife of the boss is always called as the supreme commander!!.The abstract qualities always seem to overwhelm men... wat dumb idiots we are.

Personal experience,nothing can get past my mom!! for sure!!Is that bcos she is my mom ,or bcos she is a woman? My questions still remain unanswered??

Physical strengths matter only to an extent after which we need to totally rely on our emotional strength.And women seem to fair far more better than Men in that.

Reminiscence...

Does our past really affect the future that we are trying to create?All our actions have consequences.If you believe in the maker,then your life has already been laid out with a plan and it undergoes implementation on a daily basis ,one chunk at a time.It is our lifetime's goal to understand,why our life was planned in this way.

This is exactly,what Matrix,talks about.Except the difference,that Matrix is a trilogy and I am talking about our life here.One of my friend says," life is what we make out of it".Does it mean we have choices? But we do not get always ,the things we want,even after putting all the effort.Then where is the choice part in that intricate equation?

I ain't a theologian,or a philosopher,but there is always a puppeteer and that is for certain.Some call it Fate,others "God's thougtful Hand" .

I don't seem to find the answer even within myself or for that matter from the external world either.I hope time will an answer for all my questions.

Dukes of Hazzard( My Review)

Endala endala,that is a single phrase to define the action packed,crazy comedy of the film this is.Do you know that this was directed by an Indian named Jay chandrasekar(Hope I got his name right?) Man,this raucous comedy along with Konxville and Sean made this movie a must c for me.( I know,that I saw the movie really late like six months after release,but still,I saw it!! )

Jessica simpson,seemed to spice up the movie just enough to have the feminine/sexy touch on this.Pretty cool huh,thank God they did not try to overdo though.The movie theme is simple,two guys trying to save their county from the bad villains,who seem to own the law.Any normal person,would have tried a different approach,but for the Dukes,it ain't their way!

The story revolves around multiple roles ,which seem to be held in place correctly,by the superb direction and script.

If you like Bad Boyz I & II and Die Hard( all three parts,I am yet to see the 4.0),you have gotta see this movie.Awesome fun!!!
